Rock -n- Rummage

2/20/08 UPDATE!   There will be no rain date!  We have a large covered patio at the back of our store and will be using it for the rock n rummage.

SATURDAY Feb. 23rd 9AM to 5PM

I "browsed" through some of the donations and WOW there are some deals!!!  Want a rolling drawer cart we have them 5 bucks!  With over 50 "vendors" there will be GREAT shopping deals so make sure to come on down.

If you haven't dropped off your stuff we have EXTENDED the drop off time Friday 7pm get it in here!

Because of the successful drop offs so far we will be making this a yearly event! YeAh!

We have made Rock n Rummage easier!

Now you can register by phone! Call us and we will get ya started.  We have uploaded all documents and info to our blog so download it and get going!

What kind of things are we looking for? Anything crafty!  Paper Arts, Stamping, Knitting, Sewing whether it was bought in a store, online or with a home consultant.  One gal brought her working yet slightly aged sewing machine!  A great find for young beginning seamtress. If you are not using it, price it to sell and bring it in!!!

What will we do with leftovers?  You have a choice, get it returned or donate it to our new organization Art4Girlz.  More info will be released this summer about our program.

Ok, no excuses! go get your stuff together for our Rock-N-Rummage to make room for all your new creations! Then mark your calendars Saturday Feb. 23rd for the rummage sale.

Help MDW Give Back
We wanted a way to give back and have figured out a great way to do it!
Bring all your used or unwanted, but resalable goods to our Rummage Sale.  Make a little money and give a little money.  We will do all the work; you do NOT have to be on hand during the sale! We will be giving a portion of all goods sold to several local charities.  You can choose to receive cash from your sale, store credit (higher value) or to donate it all to a charity of your choosing. POST your suggestion for charities here.

How does it work?

  1. Come to or Call the store January 24th through Feb. 18th and register to be a "seller" at our event. You will receive a packet with pricing suggestions and tips or download the forms here.  Download RnRCustomer.pdf   Fill it out and bring it in with your rummage items.
  2. Return your goods clearly marked with your seller id and price anytime from Jan. 24th through the Feb. 21st. 
  3. Sit back and watch your unused craft supplies do a great deal of good!  Registering is FREE!

The RULES:
1.    No individual sheets of paper or stickers unless in original package will be accepted.
2.    Everything must be priced and tagged with your number with a BLACK SHARPIE. You may or may not use the stickers provided.
3.    MDW does not take responsibility for lost items or theft during this event. In other words you are participating at your own risk.
4.    Although we have every intention of returning your unsold goods we cannot guarantee the return of all goods.
The Benefits:
1.    When you sign up you have 3 choices of receiving your payment of goods sold.
a.    Store Credit with equals 50% of dollars sold.  So for every dollar sold you receive .50 cents store credit.  MDW donates 30% to charity and earns 20% as a service fee.
b.    Cash Back which equals 30% of dollars sold, so for every dollar sold you receive .30 MDW will donate 30% to charity and earn 20% service fee.
c.    Donation 100% of your items sold will be donated to your selected charity!
2.    A warm happy feeling in your heart every time you look at your nice cleaned out scrap space.
Suggestions:
1.    Price low!  Remember we are raising money for very good causes. Plus freeing up your value space.  Just “let it go”.
2.    Collect like colors or themes together making great grab bags. But don’t make them too big or expensive.
3.    Round prices to whole dollars.

All types of crafting supplies are encouraged, paper arts, stamping, jewelery making and fiber arts too!
