I've been married to my soulmate for fourteen years,
and have a five year old daughter and a three year old
son. I'm a mixed media artist and a sixth grade
teacher, but my primary occupation is being a mom. I
love all forms of art, modern design, baking, and
anything with four legs and fur. My goal in life is
instill a love of learning and a passion for
creativity in my children and my students.
I’ve always love creating and doing art—my mother wrote I my baby book that as a toddler my favorite toys were scissors and paper! I began scrapbooking in 1997, but didn’t realize there was an entire world dedicated to this art until I went to an all day crop with a friend years later. I have been addicted ever since! My 3 children inspire me the most when scrapbooking—I love reflecting upon events in our daily lives, as well as my thoughts and feelings. Mini-albums are my passion—sometimes I’ll plan a trip based upon a mini-album I want to make!! This art truly helps me maintain my sanity (something hard to hold on to as a stay at home mom to a daughter and extremely active and crazy twin boys) and allows me to create and express myself in ways that doing dishes and laundry won’t!
I am a 48 year old California Girl. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I am married to Bill and have three grown children, Tony, Cheryl and Nicole. I am blessed with 3 wonderful grand kids, Gabriel, Lily and Kelsey. I have been a full time Medical Assistant for 27 years. When I started scrapbooking several years ago it became an instant obsession and wonderful creative outlet. I have never considered myself an artist but have been an avid arts and crafts person my whole life. I love paper, fabric, ribbon, chipboard, metal embellishments, distress ink and so much more. I am so honored to be a part of this great design team with so many talented women.
Hi y'all! I'm Laura McCann, 37 year old wife to a fabulous football loving husband and HR Manager for a consumer packaged goods company. I love scrapbooking and expressing myself through paper arts. I love bright colors, chipboard and any kind of alphabet. Family and friends are the biggest part of my life and I celebrate them in my scrapbooking and crafting. I am a huge fan of romance novels and basketball. I am so excited to be a part of the My Daughter's Wish Design Team.
